Toronto Port Lands Company (TPLC) is the largest property owner in the port lands with over 400 acres in its portfolio. Our primary business is to manage and lease our properties and provide environmental stewardship exclusively in the port lands.
Our expertise in brownfield remediation, including value creation, redevelopment and cleanup, stems from the brownfield legacy of contamination in the port lands. We are committed to ensuring the environmental safety of the port lands and are focused on environmental stewardship in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City and TPLC.
TPLC’s newly focused mandate allows for nimble operations with reasonable commercial means of expediting transactions and business operations to best manage and lease properties for the City’s long-term planning.
As a manager and facilitator of development exclusively in the port area, we work closely with the City’s Waterfront Secretariat, the Economic Development Division and the following municipal and provincial government ministries and bodies:
